Uk Election 2024 Big Swing In Voting Intentions

UK Election 2024: Big swing in voting intentions

Voting intentions have shifted significantly in the lead-up to the UK general election, with the Conservative Party narrowing the gap on Labour.

According to a poll conducted by YouGov on June 26th, the Labour Party is still in the lead with 35% of the vote, but the Conservative Party has gained ground and now has 31% of the vote. This represents a six-point swing towards the Conservatives since the previous poll, which was conducted on June 21st.

The Liberal Democrats are in third place with 15% of the vote, followed by the Scottish National Party with 6%, the Greens with 5%, and the Brexit Party with 4%.

If the election were held today, the Conservatives would win 267 seats in the House of Commons, up from 250 in the previous poll. Labour would win 258 seats, down from 269. The Liberal Democrats would win 10 seats, the SNP would win 40 seats, the Greens would win 1 seat, and the Brexit Party would win 0 seats.

These results suggest that the election is still very much up for grabs, and that the outcome could depend on a number of factors, such as the performance of the party leaders in the televised debates and the level of turnout on election day.
